To keep every pet safe and our surgery schedule running smoothly, the following policies apply to all surgery appointments at the FOTAS Community Spay & Neuter Clinic.
Pet Pick-Up Policy
Our clinic schedule runs tightly to ensure every pet receives safe and timely care. Once your pet is ready for discharge, you will be notified when to arrive for pick-up.
If you arrive late for your scheduled pick-up time, a $10 fee will be added for every 10 minutes past your scheduled time. Please plan accordingly to avoid additional charges.
Required Treatments
Some conditions require treatment to protect your pet and the other animals receiving care in the clinic. These services are not optional if the condition is present.
Ear Mites
If your pet is diagnosed with ear mites, appropriate treatment will be administered. Fee: $20
Foxtails or Grass Seeds in the Ear
If foxtails or grass seeds are found in your pet’s ears during the exam, they will be removed. Leaving foreign material in the ear can cause pain, infection, and permanent damage. Fee: $10 per ear
Live Fleas
If your pet is found to have live fleas or signs of fleas, they will be treated with a flea treatment to prevent the spread of fleas within the clinic. Fee: $10
Previous Cesarean Section Policy
Pets that have previously had a cesarean section (C-section) may have scar tissue or anatomical changes that make spay surgery more complex.
If your pet has had a prior C-section, an additional surgical fee of $150–$250 may be applied, depending on the level of difficulty encountered during surgery.
Because this can only be determined once surgery begins, this charge may not be known prior to the procedure.
Our veterinary team will always use their best judgment to ensure your pet receives safe and appropriate care.
Help us make the FOTAS Community Spay & Neuter Clinic a reality.
