Intake & Discharge Reception Volunteer: Greet clients, check in animals for surgery, and handle discharges.

Volunteers in this role will greet clients and check in animals scheduled for surgery, collecting necessary paperwork and information from clients. They will ensure all required forms are completed accurately and provide information about clinic procedures and post-operative care instructions. Additionally, they will prepare discharge instructions, present the correct medications, explain post-operative care to clients, and assist with any questions or concerns regarding their pets’ recovery.

Additionally, effectively managing discharges helps ensure a smooth transition for animals returning home, supporting a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

Cleaning & Laundry Volunteer: Help maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic.

Volunteers in this role will help with daily laundry, clean and sanitize all areas of the clinic, and ensure a clean environment for the animals and staff. This includes mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and properly disposing of waste.

What’s your impact? A clean clinic is essential for preventing the spread of disease and ensuring the health and safety of both the animals and the clinic staff. Your efforts help create a sanitary and welcoming space for all.

Pack Room & Sterilization Volunteer: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and materials.

Volunteers in this role will clean and sterilize surgical instruments, wrap spay & neuter packs, and clean e-tubes and masks for the next day. This role offers a unique behind-the-scenes view of the busy treatment room.

What’s your impact? Ensuring that all surgical instruments and materials are properly sterilized and prepared is vital for the success of surgeries and the safety of the animals. Your work supports the clinic’s commitment to high standards of care.

Patient Monitor Volunteer: Monitor and care for animals post-surgery.

Volunteers in this role will spend time recovering patients after their spay or neuter surgery, monitoring pets as they awaken from anesthesia, and ensuring they are comfortable and safe during their recovery period.
